No̱ 101 Fischersund 2022 Eau de Parfum
1
No Cigarettes Here
Opens with a dusty herbaceous scent that reminds me of fields of drying grasses in early summer, and dries down into a lightly musky and sweetish wood.
Although pleasant, it’s the least notable of the three fragrances I’ve tried from this house (this, No̱ 8 Eau de Parfum and the incomparable Útilykt Eau de Parfum ). Projection is moderate and I can still smell it on my wrists 9 hours after applying.
For those concerned about the cigarette note, the official notes list from Fischersund is:
Top Notes - Black Currants, Chervil
Middle Notes - Cumin, Cypriol, Lily
Base Notes - Limbwood, Musk, Vanilla
As far as I can figure out, all of the other notes that appear on Parfumo have been drawn from the accompanying marketing blurb, which is odd as they almost certainly are simply meant to evoke a time and place and are not actually notes:
“Weathered garden chairs stacked against the wall. A flower pot filled with rain and cigarette butts sits on the uprooted pavement now swallowed by chervil. Echoes of a nearby party. Fingers digging up sorrel and dandelions. Freshly fallen snow on a forgotten trampoline. Black currants fall from bare branches, one by one.”
