Floraïku is one of my favorite perfume houses. The scents are minimalist, clear, and yet profound. They tell a story and almost always find their way into my heart.
My Love has the Colour of the Night is no exception - and yet it is different.
The opening is unusually dark for a Floraïku scent, strong and with a lot of pepper. I almost regret having sprayed it on my skin right away. But only for a moment, because this unusual start makes me want to smell it on my wrist again and again.
After a few minutes, woody notes, patchouli, and vetiver take over from the pepper. It smells like a forest. Not a bright, sunlit forest with berry bushes and young deciduous trees. It is a dark forest with old, moss-covered oaks, tall spruces, and firs that barely let any sunlight through. The ground is covered with leaves, needles, and weathered wood. Moisture and resinous smoke hang in the air. I love forest scents with this mystical atmosphere. They relax me immediately. But do I want to wear this scent as a perfume? I only need to think for a moment. Yes!
My Love has the Colour of the Night is perfect for rainy autumn days, balmy summer evenings, at the theater, during yoga, by the fireplace, on a date, for falling asleep, in melancholic moments at home alone... The scent actually fits almost always. But most importantly, it fits perfectly with me.
