The second I saw Floral Street had a collab going on with the Van Gogh museum, I had to get my little grubby hands on it. I love Van Gogh with all my heart (have you seen the Doctor Who episode featuring him? My heart broke) and he's one of my favorite artist. Knowing I could combine my love for arts and perfume into one thing... Why not?
I admit I was a bit anxious because the notes listed aren't really what I usually wear. Of course, I was still pretty excited to test it out. At first spray, it's such a lovely pretty mix of fruity, floral and gourmand accords. There's a nice hint of apple blossom tartness, that's quickly replaced by the powdery aspect of a floral heliotrope. After a few minutes, the notes that stand out on my skin are the passion fruits, the mandarin orange, the pink pomelo, the tonka beans, the sandalwood and the vanilla. Citrus, woods and vanilla love my skin. I didn't really detect any hint of green coming from the matcha. The only thing that unfortunately tipped the scale into not getting the full size is the fact that I could smell an undertone of play-doh. I think most people won't mind, but once I had identified the scent, I could no longer get it out of my head. Nonetheless, I think it represents the Almond Blossom painting quite well: delicate, charming, calming and soothing.
