Surprising but fitting take on the painting.
The opening gave me pineapple. Maybe mango. As other reviews note, this is not a very almond-y fragrance. It's a tropical fruit scent.

I can actually detect some almond, but it's difficult to find. A couple hours after I spray it on, the tropical notes dissipate and leave something marzipan-like on my skin.

I found it surprisingly similar to another Floral Street perfume, Wonderland Peony, which also has a mango-y, tropical feel. They both feel like skin scents. The difference is Wonderland Peony also has a sweet, cotton candy or strawberry lemonade note, while this is more straightforwardly sunny and serene.

I wouldn't wear it daily because I just don't want to smell like pineapples that badly, but fun once in a while.

But where is the almond blossom?
This has such a misleading name and packaging. The perfume neither smells like almond blossoms, nor does it remind me in any way of the Van Gogh painting. In fact it's not even particularly floral. Or almondy.

It's a sweet, fruity scent with a harsh undertone that makes me think of men's shower gel. Nothing in the notes list hints to it, but there is definitely something scratchy in here that totally ruins the start for me.
The drydown is a little better: the sharpness calms down, vanilla, mandarin and passion fruit become clearer and more prominent. At this point it's slightly tropical and creamy. I enjoy vanilla with citrus or tart fruity notes, so it's kind of nice by bow, but not mind-blowing in any way.

All in all the scent is okay (I guess), but nothing more. A bit undefined and forgettable. It could easily be a celeb or drugstore fragrance.
And it doesn't capture the calming vibe of the painting at all. If I had to choose a color for this, I'd go for bright yellow, not the greenish blue that is the main color here.

Soothing painting made into a fragrance
The second I saw Floral Street had a collab going on with the Van Gogh museum, I had to get my little grubby hands on it. I love Van Gogh with all my heart (have you seen the Doctor Who episode featuring him? My heart broke) and he's one of my favorite artist. Knowing I could combine my love for arts and perfume into one thing... Why not?

I admit I was a bit anxious because the notes listed aren't really what I usually wear. Of course, I was still pretty excited to test it out. At first spray, it's such a lovely pretty mix of fruity, floral and gourmand accords. There's a nice hint of apple blossom tartness, that's quickly replaced by the powdery aspect of a floral heliotrope. After a few minutes, the notes that stand out on my skin are the passion fruits, the mandarin orange, the pink pomelo, the tonka beans, the sandalwood and the vanilla. Citrus, woods and vanilla love my skin. I didn't really detect any hint of green coming from the matcha. The only thing that unfortunately tipped the scale into not getting the full size is the fact that I could smell an undertone of play-doh. I think most people won't mind, but once I had identified the scent, I could no longer get it out of my head. Nonetheless, I think it represents the Almond Blossom painting quite well: delicate, charming, calming and soothing.

A Work of Art to Take Away, Please.
It’s September, rather cool, quite windy. You are on vacation and use the bad weather for a museum visit. Luckily, you bought the tickets online a few days ago, because at the entrance, not only is there a really impressive line of waiting people - there’s also a sign swinging in the wind that says "Sold out for today." Oops. Fortunately, you arrive just in time for your entry slot and enter the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam... Equipped with an audio guide, you explore the floors full of paintings, taking photos of your favorites or those with the most interesting stories. Until you reach the 3rd floor, at the end of the tour. A huge crowd gathers in front of the last major artwork by Van Gogh, which he painted shortly before his death and dedicated to his newborn nephew - it is also truly beautiful - "Almond Blossoms." Turquoise blue background in a thousand shades, covered all over with delicate light flowers on fresh branches. It’s clearly your favorite painting of the entire exhibition. Quickly take a souvenir photo. Ah, it’s beautiful...
Still a bit sentimental, you wander towards the exit, passing the museum shop - Wait, stop, isn’t there a huge glass case in the beautiful "Almond Blossoms" design promoting a perfume that looks just as enchanting??

Yes. And you can guess which packaging victim has dashed through the store to snag a bottle? Exactly, me.
I just love beautiful bottles. And if you’ve noticed from the description of the day above - I love this bottle design. And the painting that goes with it. Only I can’t take the original painting home with me. The bottle, however, I can (plus the many other souvenirs that I bought for way too much - oops, well).

About the scent.
Does it smell like the name "Sweet Almond Blossom | Floral Street" and the design/painting suggest? Nope, in my opinion, it does not. It is not spring-fresh green, delicately floral, or feather-light transparent. Luckily, I would say, because I usually don’t like such scents very much.
So how is it then?
Initially citrus-sweet, it’s the mandarin-pomelo combo. Right alongside comes the fruity, juicy passion fruit. And it settles in comfortably. Because it stays citrus-fruity for quite a while, like a fresh glass of passion fruit nectar. Quite sweet, but also fruitily delicious. Gourmand, yes, but still "perfumy," which is personally important to me.
In the heart, distinctly floral notes finally join in. When I read apple blossom, I can well imagine that it’s in there. However, I can’t fantasize matcha tea into it - no trace of that.
This sweetly fruity and floral underlaid mélange accompanies me for a few hours. In the first hour, it’s already very noticeable, then more moderate and always close to the skin.
In the drydown, it becomes truly wonderfully vanillic-creamy with - finally - a noticeable almond-marzipan note. Nice and round and soft and cozy.
Overall, the magic lasts about 6-7 hours with a strongly diminishing sillage.

Conclusion?
A really, really beautiful scent. For me, due to the sweetness, also well-suited for the colder months. The packaging is a dream, whether the scent fits with it remains questionable. For me, in any case, worth its money. I love it and will cherish it - not only as a collection addition to my taste but also connected with a beautiful memory...

Light & airy but also sweet & creamy. Calming. I can't smell the matcha. Dry down is citrus-almond/marzipan with a hint of vanilla.

A fruity, floral, gourmand scent that is dreamy, light, airy and enchanting. They chose the right art piece to represent it.

A prickly synthetic bomb stretched with orange soda powder. On top, there's a dose of ambrocenide that nobody needs.
