Not when it comes to undiscovered fragrances! My first date with Floris was unfortunately not a success: Fleur couldn't win my heart. Somehow, though, a strange hunting instinct kicks in for me: There must be a Floris that I find SUPER - and I just have to find it. So, command: Track down, sniff - and ideally: lovingly take in as a roommate. Thanks to the generous samples at the perfumery, I had the opportunity to test "Cefiro" extensively. And yes, even my two in-house perfume victims, my 11 and 14-year-old sons, didn't wrinkle their delicate noses! Cefiro starts with a hefty dose of citrus, but not in a sour way, rather in a slightly bitter-woody direction. Perhaps I’m also already smelling the underlying wood - and I find that really nice: cedarwood and sandalwood; I fancy I can smell both. Very, very subtly, this fragrance is also floral, but much more woody-spicy-citrusy-mossy-green. As it develops, the scent becomes a bit soapy (but I actually quite like that here), the jasmine becomes a little more pronounced, and nutmeg gently makes an appearance. I actually find Cefiro unisex. The scent has accompanied me for several days now - I never felt it was too intrusive or too harsh or too anything in any direction, but rather extremely well-balanced. A straightforwardly classic-beautiful fragrance that I will definitely test again in the summer. I’m curious to see if the spices will come more to the forefront then!
