Lily, where are you?

I can already call myself a "lily of the valley fan"; and I admit: I love them, the little brave guys that bring life every spring.
And just as I like their spring-like, virginal freshness, I also enjoy them in the state of first light decay: when they become slightly "stinky".
This also applies to jasmine: youthful freshness is enchanting - maturity is tempting!
So I was very curious about what the house of Floris, which I have come to know as a noble fragrance manufacturer, would conjure up from these two white flowers.

But, oh dear!
Both - lily of the valley and jasmine - had gotten lost in the vast valley of leaf and meadow green.
A fine, but for me a bit too "lemony" entrance awaits me. Yes, fine is the right word!
But where are the lilies of the valley now? Where has jasmine hidden?
Even rose and tuberose, usually not shy, are just a whisper.
I am slowly coming to the conclusion that I am dancing at the wrong wedding here or that I don't have the right skin.
It takes almost half an hour for my two beloved white friends to appear: Their visit is short, very short - what a pity!
Musk strolls by and ... that's it!

Was that really all? I am disappointed! Floris has disappointed me with "Lily of the Valley"!
It is actually just a hint of an Eau de Cologne that brushes past me, that settles on me.
Spring-like freshness? Yes, a bit green, a bit lemon.
But otherwise, I only encounter shy restraint.
I don't expect much from a "fragrance water," that's known: but a little more than a light nothing would be nice.
What a pity, very unfortunate!

Once again: I am disappointed!
Perhaps also because I have recently discovered two wonderful new lily of the valley and jasmine fragrances that excite me.
Did I approach the testing with too high expectations?
I don't know!
For me, this Lily really got "lost in the valley." And took jasmine along with it.
Or are they fleeing from me?

Try the newer 'Lily' from the same brand - both jasmine and lily of the valley are very prominent!

That's right! Nice floral scent, but the lily of the valley theme missed the mark here. What a shame.

Just as the lily of the valley runs away from you: that must have made you sad.

Frau von Spee and I are both self-proclaimed lily of the valley addicts. I don't know this one yet, but I’d also be interested to hear what your two recommendations are!

I can't imagine that the lilies of the valley are running away from you; they were probably just too shy. Could it be related to the season, perhaps?

Hmm, for me it’s a sea of lily of the valley - is your test object still okay?

I liked it according to the review, but I didn't write a statement that suggests overwhelming enthusiasm. Maybe it really was just too average.

Lily of the Valley on the run? Alright, I'll skip that one. Yesterday I had Fleur by Floris on my skin, and it was similarly fleeting, so I couldn't even come up with a statement about it.

Even if this one isn't it, there are still so many other fragrances that have more to offer. And for the good comment and the disappointment, here's a trophy!
