Lavender haunts
The tonka factory
Violet flowers line the path
Spices keep their distance
Lavender lingers sweetly behind

It's also too sharply sweet for me.

Yes, it is unfortunately a bit too sweet. But it will find its buyers.

Lavender should just stay away from the tonka factory!

In that case, a little distance wouldn't have hurt 😅

I totally agree with you, lavender is definitely better spicy and herbaceous cool. The other flowers don’t seem to come through as much, right?

Violets maybe. But it definitely wasn't floral on me.

I really like violet, but please without the loud tonka stuff.

Yes, the sweetness is there right from the start. It's good, but it doesn't move me.

I also prefer it a bit herbaceous rather than completely tamed with tonka.

It's actually a bit strange for me to see it so tame here.

I like lavender to be soft.

Yeah, it can be soft, like for example le Passant, which I really like, but this one is too soft for me 😉.

I find tonka inappropriate here.

It's not exactly a rare combination, lavender and tonka 😉

Could appeal to me more than to you.

It could be, although I'm surprised that I don't like it as much, since I usually enjoy that combination. But to me, it's too blunt and lacks spice; it's sweet right from the start. I love it when the opening is a bit rough and lavender-like.

Lavender combined with tonka just doesn't work for me.

I actually like it, as long as the lavender retains its roughness and spiciness. Here, it seems toned down, and only the sweetness stands out. Too smooth for me.

Too much tonka can get annoying quickly.

I quite like tonka and lavender, but they don't quite come together for me here. It could also be due to the awful heat. I do enjoy 'en passant' as well; it's in a similar direction - but who knows why one works and the other doesn't.

Unfortunately, it's too sweet and not spicy enough for me. Too violet - that was to be expected with the name, so no harsh disappointment, but it's just not my scent.
I like lavender, but I prefer it on the spicy, herbal side. Fresh, slightly bitter lavender is nice too. It can be a bit sweet, but I like it when the opening has at least a fresh herbal kick. Here, there's a lot of tonka right from the start; I had to check if this is really supposed to be lavender or if I'm mistaken. So yes, it's not bad, but it doesn't quite match my taste.
