The name reveals the memory of lavender amidst sweet confectionery.
Tonka, vanilla, amber, sandalwood, ylang, chocolate patchouli.*

That's probably a bit too much of a good thing.

Sounds like Floris started off with tradition in the opening and then hesitated, veering towards a sweet trend.

Seems rather exhausting, it seems to me.

I wouldn't necessarily need a treat with lavender.

Could be nice, but unfortunately sounds way too sweet.

The lavender seems to be overshadowed here.

I have nothing against powder, but I prefer not to have overpowering sweetness.

I do like sweet scents, but I'm starting to find these kinds of trends a bit boring too.

I'd rather have the (70% Lindor) truffle..

Thank you so much, Babylon84!
The opening could have continued beautifully with the sweet citrus and lavender.
It takes on the usual overpowering notes and initially comes off as powdery floral, gradually becoming more gourmand-woody.
When applied in the evening, it still lingers the next morning.
Similar to Caron pour un Homme Le Soir.

I absolutely agree! The overly floral heart with powder completely put me off. Not to mention the mentioned overpowering and excessive sweetness in the base. Seems like you can't avoid that these days 😕 Such a shame!
