The tale of an English Aristocrat from an Italian point of view

Arbiter for Men was a blind buy.
So, when i tried it i didn't have great expectations.
In the beginning i felt a huge amount of lemon, sporadically the middle notes started to take control in a darker way, and in the end the dry down mixed with lavender took me to another era, another century, another country.
It's like some perfumer from Italy created a masculine perfume to remind him the old Dukes or Aristocrats from England, even if he had never met one.
Or Jack the Ripper.
In any case, the perfume itself has a mediocre sillage, a good longevity, and a rare quality that you have difficulties to find in the present days.
Of course it shows it's age, it's from the 40s.
But some of the great noir films came from this period, as well.
If you are under 45 years old, stay away, probably you will never understand it or even like it.
The rest, me included in my 52s, will appreciate the unusual smell of a fake, but equally good and well mannered, impostor.
