Oud Maracuja, brewed over black tea
The composition of the fragrance Passionfroudh, for which the name giver hopefully received a promotion for the name suggestion, can be considered on its own or in comparison to the fragrance Oud Maracujá.
Oud Maracujá is likely known to most due to a pretty decent hype. It is a really cool niche fragrance for which I have also written a review (Fragrance: 8.5). Passionfroudh shares the DNA-defining components Oud and passion fruit with Oud Maracujá. In my opinion, however, Passionfroudh performs even better.
Why?
It captures the idea of the composition equally well, but packages it in a more versatile and refined way. The niche character is still undoubtedly present, and it is, after all, a fragrance duo that should not be too prominent in order not to become intrusive.
The black tea note particularly cushions the duo much lighter and thus offers so many more possibilities for use than its significantly leatherier, heavier fragrance relative.
The scent essentially smells as if you were opening and smelling a can of high-quality passion fruit black tea. I think especially if you are not familiar with Oud Maracujá, you can expect an interesting journey through the fragrance.
For this reason, I believe it is even advisable to discover the perfume detached and without preconceived notions.
