Sweet and nutty vanilla dream
So, here it is: Vanilla Haze.
I haven't been on Parfumo for long and I'm not as eloquent as some of the others here, but I would still like to attempt my first review.
Vanilla Haze - I was a little taken aback by this name. Where do I know this name from? Have you heard or read it somewhere before? Then I remembered it again: There is actually a cannabis strain called Vanilla Haze. But don't worry! The scent I've just sprayed on the back of my hand again (2 sprays) has absolutely nothing to do with cannabis, thank God!
The fragrance gets its name more from the strongly dominant vanilla and the (hazelnut) hazelnut.
So now to the fragrance:
When I spray it on for the first time, which is often referred to as the opening, I smell a very dominant, sweet but warm vanilla bomb. To my surprise, the vanilla still remains very dominant in the foreground after some time / the drydown, but it is joined by a wonderfully pleasant, creamy nuttiness that gives the fragrance a little more warmth (probably due to the tonka bean) and coziness. Over time, I can even detect a small and subtle splash of coconut (milk).
I love it when fragrances are not linear, but develop over time and then gradually release individual components.
What I particularly like about Vanilla Haze is the successful balancing act between the sweet vanilla and the almost slightly woody and creamy nut.
I have not yet been able to detect a mandarin note.
On the back of my hand, the fragrance had a good longevity of 8 - 10 hours. Even after washing in the evening, I could still smell the fragrance on the back of my hand in bed. Awesome.
Since sweet perfumes are now also quite popular in the men's world, I definitely see Vanilla Haze as unisex.
I would rather see it in fall or winter due to its sweetness / heaviness.
