Ice Candies in the Forest
Oh, not easy to describe and quite different from what I imagined the scent to be.
I perceive the ice accord clearly, but rather as an ice candy due to the fruits.
The pine cones come through subtly, as do the woods. Vanilla only appears very late and remains unsweetened. When the fruits fade, I find the scent to be cool, woody, and rather bitter.
Today is a gray, cool, and cold day. In my opinion, the scent is best expressed under these conditions.
I had also tested this in warmer temperatures. There, it becomes unbearable for me; the notes inside actually call for crisp, cold weather. In too much warmth, the perfume becomes too intense and heavy, and the scent feels overloaded.
So if the weather is right and I close my eyes tightly, I stand in the forest, sucking on an ice candy, amidst a snowstorm. Sorry to say, but when it’s too warm, it turns more into a bathroom stone.
