Sea & Sun?
~ Inspiration ~
I received the perfume from Omara as a sort of blind swap, without having known it beforehand (sometimes I am brave and open to such fragrant surprises).
~ Bottle ~
I also have the blue-yellow-golden collector's bottle. The gradient is supposed to symbolize the sea, the sun, and the beach - fittingly named "Bleu & Or" - "Blue & Gold".
~ Scent ~
The top note is almost completely skipped for me - I only perceive a hint of mandarins, while the sunny-maritime notes remain completely hidden from me. A slightly tart blackcurrant bud and earthy patchouli with benzoin resin unfold. Jasmine sambac and lotus flowers mostly hold back and seem to come through only slightly. Perhaps the tonka bean provides a somewhat dry, sugary accord.
~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts about 6 hours (longer on clothing and hair). 2-3 sprays are sufficient, as the scent becomes too scratchy for me otherwise. A little tip on the side: spray from a distance rather than directly on the skin, then it becomes more pleasant!
~ Occasion ~
It fits well for the mild days and evenings in spring, summer, and autumn. When dosed discreetly, it is also suitable for the office.
~ Conclusion ~
Unfortunately, it becomes a bit too earthy on my skin... however, I can imagine it quite well on others :)
The first spray immediately evoked the association of "Flowerbomb" by Viktor & Rolf in me... It smells to me like a mix of that with a hint of "La vie est belle" (just not as sweet and lighter).
