The Acqua di Gio Eau de Toilette is a perfume with a long tradition, ranks among the best-selling perfumes in the world, and yet it lacks a certain component for today's times. The scent is quite one-dimensional and not very complex, even for a designer fragrance. This has changed with the Profumo flanker!
The Profumo transports you to a timeless era with its scent DNA. Aquatic notes are accompanied by woods in the background without stepping into the foreground, and the incense allows you to dive deeper into the fragrance without being truly noticeable. A few green notes add the right balance and a slight spiciness to the scent. Patchouli in the base is not really perceptible to me, but it likely contributes to the mentioned multidimensionality.
When I wear it, I often catch myself smelling the sprayed area and I am pleased when I wear it. It lasts on my skin for several hours (5-7), which is acceptable for a designer freshie. On clothing, it lasts even longer. What should a fragrance be able to do? It must make the wearer happy, create an aura in which the person feels comfortable, and occasionally come to the nose. All of this is achieved by the Acqua di Gio Profumo.
It's a pity that it is no longer produced in this form; in my opinion, the new Acqua di Gio Parfum does not quite manage to capture all the dimensions of this scent in the new formulation.
