At least I learned something...

I was very curious about this already established fragrance... as I heard from many that it is the most beautiful Armani Prive. Thanks to the lovely ParfumAholic, it was finally time!
For me, Ambre Orient is unfortunately a bit of a disappointment. Without amber, it would smell very similar to many of the black Armani Prives. However, I don't like it with amber. I believe the base essence of the black Prives is always the same, only the "main theme" varies, whether it's amber, rose, myrrh... always behind it is a carpet of oud spices... that is just as boring as the eternal oud-rose fragrances. Armani has two of those. Therefore, the fragrance is not bad... quite far from it actually... if... yes if you like amber. I didn't even know that I don't like amber... even though I had Ambre Sultan from SL, and tested Ambre Nuit from Dior Privee very thoroughly... now I know what always bothered me about those fragrances. Of course, from the respective names, I could derive the main theme... but it was never quite clear to me whether it was just the amber that bothered me. Yes, it is! I even perceive Ambre Sultan as a high-grade fragrance twin of Ambre Orient... I find Ambre Nuit to be more refined and the most beautiful of all three... I just really like the Demachy style. Ambre Orient is just a spice carpet for me where I can hardly pick out individual fragrance notes.
Yes, a bit of oud and incense... but more blurred and indistinct... amber is too dominant. After 3-4 hours, the fragrance becomes noticeably milder... when the amber has weakened and settled... that is the most beautiful phase of Ambre Orient. But I want to enjoy perfumes immediately... and not with a lead time of a few hours. Longevity is great at over 10 hours, the sillage is very strong.

For perfume lovers who enjoy the note, it will be a dilemma of choice... for them, Ambre Orient will be a dream. Ambre Sultan is the cheapest, Ambre Nuit the most beautiful... and Ambre Orient perhaps the most consistent. Unfortunately, it's nothing for me... even though you can tell how well-made the fragrance is... how noble and valuable everything smells... at least now I know which note, when it represents the main theme of a fragrance, I need to avoid. Learned something again and refined my nose.

Conclusion: A great fragrance for all oriental and amber fans, absolutely unisex, well-known Armani Prive base essence, not very suitable for everyday wear, perfectly fitting for the current season.

Well, I'm an Amber fan, but this isn't one. I smell a full spice cabinet, mixed with Oud, almost no incense, but deep, musty patchouli-if that's in there, it's ruined for me. Not a fan at all! Ambre Nuit is delicious!

Maybe the most consistent one, well done - no doubt about that. But it won't be my choice. Nice comment!

For me, the whole line is actually just one big disappointment... Armani just doesn't seem to have it anymore...
