An exceptional amber
Ambre Orient is another exponent of the Armani Prive collection that enjoys incredible quality and exceptional odor characteristics. It is an oriental perfume, which despite what it may seem for its notes, is subtle, light and delicate, with a masterful amber, which shows us an airy, vaporous and powdery work that borders on the sublime. I loved it.

In the beginning the thyme is felt in a tender and delicate way, with an incense, sweet, resinous and slightly shaved aura, which is beautiful, almost touching femininity, but stopping it in time a spicy and woody note that gives body and volume and avoids that develops excessively feminine. When this woody and spicy note comes into play, the thyme disappears and in its place feels a very light patchouli, surrounded by sweet, resinous and spicy woods, but nothing aggressive or strong, on the contrary, they are delicately crimped, it is like if they were vaporized in the air, I do not know how to explain it, but I feel it as if in a reverie, where you are not yet able to see clearly and the dreamy sensations and reality are interwoven, precious. Little by little, vanilla and amber begin to be felt more intensely, because being, they were from the beginning, but in a very ethereal and mild way, and also now, some cinnamon begins to feel very subtly, creating an ambiguous set, Creamy and also something dusty, beautifully executed, without stridency or exaggeration of notes, maintaining that dreamlike air that has enchanted me. A magnificent work of perfumery that has been discontinued, a shame because it is really beautiful, although I think that Myrrhe Imperiale could cover the void left by Ambre Orient, since they share that same mystical and dreamlike air, with different aroma (myrrh and not amber) , but with the same character.

Perfume of excellent performance, with a very good longevity, remaining on skin for about 10 hours, with a very marked wake from the beginning, then from 3 hours low to moderate and in the last hours it remains at skin level. Perfect for cold and temperate seasons, and it does not matter whether for the day or for the night, but for special and intimate occasions, it is not a daily perfume, it is rather, something special.

If you find it and you can afford it, go ahead, it is a beautiful perfume, but without paying excesses, that on the internet there is a lot of crap that, sometimes, they ask for real barbarities for him, that I would not pay, because to pay a lot of money I would go directly to Myrrhe imperiale that is not discontinued, has a similar vibe and can be found cheaper, though, not cheap.

Afternoon with alcohol
It is not too easy to write negative about such perfume that got 84% in average from perfumistas.

For my nose it is a liqueur-amber, brandy, cognac, or something like this, later on a stale summer afternoon, or rather a fragrance of a homeless.

AMBRE ORIENT is very srong and outstandingly persistent.

A passionate masterpiece.... top5 ambre scent
I had a chance to put my hand on this discontinued gem.Its easily top 5 ambre scent.the story was two days ago I went to a shop where there ware some Armani Prive line showing off on the shelf in search for Myyrh Imperial(cuz Armani Prive line is hard to find in my country.).I ask for more of them and the salesman pulled the drawer and plenty of them revealed meanwhile we search for MI suddenly my eye catch it among bunch of others .only one was left and its cellophane was scratched open.I made a sniff and what a ellegant alurring seductive scent.
Today I went there and bought it.
IT is a reall holly grail in my full of ambre collection.
Warm spicy passionate ambre with incensy alittle smoky undertone I think it comes from labdanum that make the composition more reach which vanilla accompany it on the base ptchoully and sandalwood complete the scent.

great!
Tested it in Frankfurt Airport. Really like it. It is dark, it is mysterious. Love the hint of incense and spiciness. I don't think the oud is as good as Montale's oud note, but it does not matter, cos the overall scent experience is great. Love it. And likely will buy it!

Noble Amber with Oud and Incense
In search of the perfect amber scent Part 6

This amber fragrance has intrigued me for a while, and thanks to the lovely 0815abc, I had the pleasure of testing it. This is about a "premium amber" that unfortunately shows no mercy to my royal nose either. However, one must also keep in mind what I wished for (see the requirements profile in the Ambre Sublime comment - sweet, warm, soft, cozy, vanillic, etc.). For this reason, this comment should not be understood as a complete dismissal; the scent just does not fulfill my wishes.

Fragrances in this league often have the habit of changing almost hourly. Many enjoy this, while others - like me - react with irritation. Although such transformations can indeed be quite interesting for testing purposes. And so, Ambre Orient also offers a colorful palette of various impressions. The opening is sharp, strong, (spicy) and quite substantial. Then comes a decent pinch of cinnamon. You can immediately tell that the fragrance is an oriental.

I thought, fine, now we're heading into dark, heavy, spicy sweetness, but think again. Ambre Orient strives from darkness into light and becomes noticeably brighter. Without sweetness. Instead, incense now wafts to the forefront, which remains very present for a long time. In another phase, it starts to smell like my medicine cabinet. That can only be the oud. It always smells like that on me. When it retreats after another hour or two, the incense stays where it is, only the scent becomes overall softer and closer to the skin. Unfortunately, I do not smell anything even remotely sweet in any of the phases, which altogether last a good 10 hours. For me, this fragrance has distinctly masculine traits due to its bitterness.

Conclusion: I do not like oud. I also do not like incense. However, both are abundantly present. In any case, Ambre Orient is unisex, but for my nose, it tends significantly towards the masculine. Hourly, those who like can look forward to a surprise. I prefer consistency. For those who appreciate this scent direction, Ambre Orient surely has something fine to offer. I sniff elsewhere…

Its overpowering scent is a drawback. It can spoil your dinner and make those around you uncomfortable.

A more leathery, boozy Ambre Sultan. Not so heavy on culinary spices. Very nice, but too similar to Ambre Sultan.

Amber with incense & velvety resins...
really beautiful oriental with non-fecal oud.
Personally, though, a bit too intense for me :)

It reminds me of a good sauna infusion with the top notes. It smells spicy, cozy, and a bit soapy.
