Paradisiacal scent,… almost….

Aaah, figs. I have only found these absolutely delicious fruits once this year, and that was a few slightly squished and green fruits for eight euros, ugh… (dried fruits don’t count!). But figs are definitely among my favorite fruits. And even though I haven’t enjoyed them properly in a while (the slightly squished ones don’t count either!), I can at least enjoy the lovely scent that this fruit gives off through fragrances like this perfume here. Unfortunately, the scent here is not as strong as I had assumed… but that doesn’t mean it’s not good.

The scent:
The beginning is truly heavenly, well, I probably only say that because I really love the fig scent and this note is present from the start, albeit very lightly, and becomes stronger later. The main components of the top note are bergamot, mandarin, and a few minutes later, allspice, which seems to become stronger, but then fades again, so it never becomes too overpowering.
In the heart note, I feel like I perceive a slight smokiness, which might be the tea that reminds me a bit of rooibos tea. After that, the scent becomes a bit fresher or greener, supposedly grass according to the fragrance pyramid. But even though the scent smells green, one should not imagine the scent of freshly cut grass, which by the way also smells very pleasant; here it’s just fresh-green, well-scented notes.
Later, the fig gradually becomes stronger and more pleasant, smelling fruity-sweet; those who like figs know that the fig scent is one of the most beautiful and pleasant scents ever. In the end, one can still perceive faintly sweet notes, while the iris seems to fade quite a bit and is hard to distinguish.

Longevity and sillage:
The longevity is weaker than I thought, as I could only smell the scent on my skin for about three to four hours, and although it lingered for a few more hours, it remained in a very weak state. So overall, it lasts about six to seven hours. The sillage is rather average and diminishes over time, although the fig scent still comes through well from time to time later on.

Bottle:
The bottle is rectangular, thick glass, and becomes a bit rounder at the top. It looks elegant and is visually appealing. It features a bronze-colored label with the name of the fragrance, which in my opinion is a bit too simple. The cap, on the other hand, is very nice and looks like a polished stone, resembling the cap of Armani Si, except that the one from Si stands upright.

Figuier Eden is truly a beautiful scent, almost paradisiacal, one could say. However, it seems to be a bit too weak, although this can vary in duration for everything. I could hardly perceive it on myself after three to four hours, which is very unfortunate…

Nevertheless, Figuier Eden is a wonderful scent that is perfect for spring and summer. A fragrance that both men and women can use and should definitely try out. The smoky rooibos tea is a bit of an acquired taste, but you can still give the scent a chance.
Personally, I prefer Philosykos by Diptyque and Fico di Amalfi by Acqua di Parma when it comes to fig scents (so far anyway, I still need to test a few more of these fragrances!).

Another recommendation is "Ichnusa" - also very nice - and indeed a bit more "grassy" with good longevity. Fig cup - not squished!

I really like its lack of stickiness; instead, it's light and green, with a hint of mint for me. A staple in my collection. **Trophy.**
