Gentlemen Only Absolute Givenchy 2016

Soon my best friend has a birthday and I'm once again diving into men's fragrances to find a gift for him.

My anxious question about whether my obligatory scent gifts would become boring was vehemently denied by my men, as none of them like to hang around in perfume shops - they prefer to leave that to me.
Apparently, they all suffer from acute "time shortage" - but they do enjoy wearing fragrances.
So be it.

I already delighted Mr. Forester with Gentlemen Only for Christmas, and now I tried Absolute.

This fragrance also carries the Givenchy signature, but it follows its own path.
Woody, spicy, and oriental is how it is announced on the cover - for the "absolute" gentleman.
I gladly endorse the adjectives, but the scent doesn't necessarily need a pinstripe suit to make an impact.
It will also suit my biking forest man, who loves to wear his leather gear.
Of course, he is an "absolute" gentleman in his attitude.

Absolute is soft and deep, and very approachable.
The fresh bergamot harmoniously pairs with the spicy nutmeg and the sweet cinnamon, emphasized by elegant saffron.
The vanilla is soft again, and sandalwood wraps around it in a creamy way.

A fragrance that signals closeness - and allows it as well.
Just right for my rugged "cuddle bear".
The oriental hints would fit better in winter - but the birthday falls in summer.

Although it is another Gentlemen Only, Absolute will not bore the birthday boy, as it is more the cuddly version of the already existing Only.

And even rugged men like to cuddle.
