Just spent some time with Givenchy Gentleman Réserve Privée, and to me, it’s like stepping into a refined lounge with a glass of aged whisky in hand. This fragrance draws inspiration from the world of fine whiskies, aiming to capture the essence of aged whisky casks with a floral touch. I believe Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp, both contributed to this fragrance and known for fragrances like YSL Black Opium and Mugler Angel, this scent brings a rich and indulgent experience. It opens with a subtle bergamot note, quickly leading into a heart of smooth iris and a distinctive whisky absolute, creating a warm, boozy character. The base notes of chestnut, cedarwood, vetiver, and patchouli add depth and a cozy finish. The dry down is spectacular on my skin with great overall performance.
