Warm, spicy, and substantial

Also here it applies: I am not the most talented writer, so please read the following as what it is - a personal review, not a fragrance poem.

I was already familiar with the name Granado before my trip to Brazil and was curious whether the fragrances lived up to their reputation. In March 2026, I finally had the chance to leisurely try them out in the Granado stores in Brazil. Boemia impressed me the most and ultimately came home with me.

About the scent itself:
Boemia starts quite directly with black pepper. Not aggressive, but present. The lime adds freshness, while the nutmeg contributes a warm spiciness. Overall, a spicy, distinctive opening that immediately makes it clear: This is not a tame everyday fragrance.

In the heart, there are cedar, geranium, and incense. The cedar gives the fragrance structure, the geranium a bitter-floral note that I rarely perceive in leather-tobacco scents - I found that interesting and sets Boemia apart from similar fragrances for me. The incense is more smoky than church-like.

The base with leather, tobacco, and sandalwood is exactly what you would expect - warm, rich, a bit retro. But not musty or old-fashioned. Granado describes the fragrance itself as “vintage,” and that fits well: It feels like a modern interpretation of classic barbershop elegance.

Performance: This is Boemia's great strength. On my skin, it lasts easily 8-9 hours, with the last hours as a pleasant skin aura. The sillage is really good in the first two hours, then more moderate. The price-performance ratio is definitely right here.

Comparisons: Those who know By the Fireplace by Margiela or Bvlgari Man in Black will find a drier, spicier relative here. Less sweet, more substance. The comparison to Naxos suggested by Parfumo only partially holds for me - Boemia is significantly less sweet and gourmand, but more leathery-smoky.

Conclusion: For me, the strongest fragrance I have tested at Granado. Classically masculine without being exclusively male. Ideal for autumn and winter, but wearable year-round on cool evenings. Those who enjoy spice, leather, and tobacco will be very happy here.
