India in a Bottle
"Here it smells completely of India!!! Did you spray that???" (Quote Mr. Fefaminz)
Yes, that was me! At first, Tara Mantra has something very aquatic and makes me wrinkle my nose a bit (I have nothing against aqua scents, but what does this have to do with Tantra?!). However, it quickly becomes clear that this very pronounced sandalwood (not even listed in the pyramid) and saffron/cardamom combo has initially misled my nose. No, no, this has nothing to do with aqua, but is pure India. Slightly bitter from ajowan (very aromatic) and the saffron, warm from the woody note, delicately sweet and just a little floral (the jasmine is used only in homeopathic dosage), the patchouli ensures that it definitely does not become cozy. The oud and the asant add a minimal-animalistic touch, and thus the scent remains very long, very pronounced on the skin.
Tara Mantra is for me a very present perfume, perfect as a signature scent or a big evening fragrance depending on the dosage, and sooooo much of India: powerful, dominating, even a bit disturbing, but neither fresh nor a cozy gourmand treat!
Probably not for me, but Mr. Fefaminz is seriously considering it.

This sounds really interesting to me. Jasmine + Oud in the base ~ ooh la la! But okay, okay, we’ll give it a try. :) Adding it to my wishlist.

Hmm, I haven't been to India yet, so I can't say if the scent smelled like that. :)
