Subtly rebellious

Somehow, I just can't warm up to the fragrances from the Gritti house.

I currently own/have owned four very different Grittis and have had the chance to test more than a dozen - they all have more or less one thing in common: the very mediocre longevity and projection.

Rebellion makes no major exceptions here, but is rather categorized among the longer-lasting Grittis.

However, I find Rebellion to be too synthetic for a mid-priced niche fragrance. It has a certain sharpness that gives me slight headaches when I sniff too intensely.

In the drydown, I like it best, even though it really only remains perceptible close to the skin. The sharpness in the nose is no longer there, and the amber makes it softer and more balanced.

It bears certain similarities to "Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême | Chanel," which truly represents a serious and good alternative.

To be honest, I would even recommend that instead, as the Chanel appears rounder and softer due to its sweetness.

Ultimately, I perceive Rebellion as a nice, fresh green everyday scent with certain edges, without standing out too much. Due to the synthetic undertone, the mediocre longevity/projection, and the rather high price, it is not interesting enough for a purchase.
