My mom has rented the Gucci fragrances for herself.

Not that I don’t like them - I get along well with Guilty Intense - but otherwise, the Guccis just suit my mom better.

Therefore, I don’t want to stick my neck out too far with the assessment of Bamboo, as I haven’t smelled it on her yet.

On me, however, Bamboo comes across as quite unharmonious - almost shrill.
The bergamot speaks up loudly, and it is not calmed by the lily and the orange blossom.
The opening feels intense and agitated.
Ylang Ylang stands separately beside it and doesn’t blend in.
Neither the sandalwood nor the vanilla really smooth the restless scent.
I also can’t find the expected bamboo.

A fragrance that leaves me perplexed and nervous.

But, as I said, the final word has not yet been spoken, as I haven’t smelled Bamboo on my mom yet.
Maybe it will surprise me with its good sides on her.
I am curious about this test.

The name Bambou apparently refers to a collection by Gucci of the same name and has nothing to do with the scent notes. It's the same issue as with "Boss Orange," where everyone assumes there's actually orange in it.

I find it cloying and overpowering. For the totally inflated price, it's nothing special.

I tested it briefly yesterday, but it didn't say anything to me; not my scent. It kind of got lost after I sprayed Angel. Nice, helpful comment.
