68 Mustang Fastback

I smelled this fragrance for the first time a few years ago in Munich, and I liked it even then. Then we parted ways.
The scent continued to waft in my subconscious as a figment of my imagination.

When I saw it in Duty Free Stuttgart on the way to the plane to Barcelona, my hand intuitively moved towards the brownish bottle with the small black cap.

Boom, the fragrance hit like Muhammad Ali's right hand in Sonny Liston's jaw. Leather club before the Lord...And I love it.
Just like a few years ago, but also very different.

It was only now, with the necessary background knowledge and significantly more "perfume experience", that I recognized the full beauty and uniqueness of this fragrance.

A deep black petrol note overlaid with leather. Like a '68 Mustang fastback. Brutal. Loud. Old school.
No Alcantara leather from the new Porsche 911, like the Tom Ford Ombre Leather.

Leather more like: Uncle Jack's old biker jacket, who used to ride his Harley Davidson with the Hells Angels and drink a bottle of whisky for breakfast. The jacket has burn holes, Uncle Jack was a cigar lover.

This symphony is initially accompanied by a slightly green-fresh cedar note. But this then disappears. After a few minutes, the small green cedar sapling slowly grows into a tree and lends the fragrance a dark woody note.
The petrol association, which I seem to share with other perfumistas, disappears, but comes through every now and then.

After half an hour/hour or so, all you can smell is old, snotty, time-worn but soft leather.
CONCLUSION

My 2nd bottle. I don't know anyone around me who likes it. I love it for that.

Designer fragrance with sneeze DNA.
Not a date fragrance. A fragrance to exude dominance. Not everyone can wear it. You have to be the type for it.
Leather jacket is almost mandatory.

Top fragrance, also for layering with good H/S.
As I'm a man with long hair, it often gets caught there, so I sometimes still smell it in the shower after 2 days.

Even my signature/daily for a while.
"A fragrance for the individualist" as I read it here. Perfectly described.
