I have never written a comment about a fragrance that I haven't worn on my skin for at least a day. Honestly. Today, I break this testing method - because "Rosa Pop" was worn by my girlfriend all day yesterday, and I "only" smelled it on her. But before you start shouting "Fraud, I always knew it, and F*** Leimbacher," listen to me: 1) She found it in the Düsseldorf Duty Free area, wore it on the 10-hour flight to the Dominican Republic. I sat right next to her the whole time and smelled her hand at least hourly. 2) The scent is super simple and easy to grasp. 3) Additionally, I was able to smell it several times from the bottle and on the test strip.
So I hope you forgive me. That should suffice for such a fragrance. At first, I didn't want to believe my girlfriend when she answered my question about what that was on her arm with "Rosa Pop by Guerlain." Especially not after I had blindly recognized "Pamplelune" on her other arm. But it wasn't a joke, and she remembered the name correctly - it can happen that I don't have all new releases on my radar, even from Guerlain. I'll take the airport exclusivity as an excuse. By the way, she bought the "Pamplelune" - wise decision, I like wearing it too :)
"Rosa Pop" does exactly what its name and color suggest (more than) - young, modern, girlish, it achieves a beautiful, very rosy opening. This appeals to those under 20 - a group that usually rarely wanders to the Guerlain counter. Mission accomplished so far. A peppy mix of squeaky rose, youthful berries, and minimal pepper, later then vanilla/Guerlinade, does little wrong for its target audience. However, I find it all a bit too ordinary and too colorful, too normal and at times too overpowering. The fact that it has little Guerlain and a lot of mainstream for girls is something I can handle, but it doesn't help much for a good rating. A sugary rose - is that enough for you? Not for us.
Bottle: as always a treasure - this time radiant pink!
Sillage: not as radiant as the pink suggests - 1.5 meters.
Longevity: at least survived half of the flight - 4-5 hours.
Conclusion: it can stay in the Duty Free area - not a big deal from Guerlain and despite the striking color, one of the weaker Aqua Allegorias!
