Pretty & Powdery
Found a bottle secondhand and I am in love!! So pretty and clean and powdery. I thought I didn’t like powdery scents but this has me questioning everything I thought I knew. Does take about 10-12 sprays (I am an over sprayer anyway) for decent sillage and longevity is moderate, but I think I might go nose blind to it because while I can’t smell it on myself I can still smell it in the room I applied it in at the end of the day. This is also one of the very few that my husband noticed right away and commented that it smelled good.

This fragrance is just happiness in a bottle and has me going down a rose/violet/powder rabbit hole…

Also a Guerlain
Actually, I don't want to comment too much, but this beautiful fragrance is challenging me to write about it.

This wonderful scent reminds me of Insolence, whether as EdT or EdP or even the Extrait. It has this beautifully soft, powdery iris note that can only be found at Guerlain. Some describe this note as Guerlinade. This note is also very prominent in Shalimar Initial L'Eau, but even stronger, which is very well received by many perfume lovers, as it is incomparably beautiful.

The main component is the peony, which alternates with the fine iris note and I mean a slightly citrusy note. Very faintly, small dark berries can be perceived.
The citrus and the iris both compete for dominance, but neither can win, as the peony is stronger and always stands out.

These 4 components (peony, iris, citrus, and very light berries) form the entire fragrance, and after a certain time, the citrus recedes, leaving behind the peony and the gentle iris, while the small berries have previously vanished, or rather evaporated.

That is the entire scent progression, and I find it sufficient. More would ruin the fragrance.
A scent that is always wearable, as it comes across as friendly and light, without anything dark, bitter, or disturbing.

Moreover, this fragrance feels extremely natural; one feels as if they are sniffing a peony. With such an old perfume house, it's no wonder, and Mr. Wasser simply has a knack for creating wonderful scents.

For an Eau de Toilette, it has good longevity and sillage and is also wearable all year round, as it possesses an extremely positive aura and immediately evokes feelings of happiness.

From me, a clear test recommendation.

Flower Pepper
The new, limited Aqua Allegoria fragrance called Rosa Pop has triggered associations of sweet fruits and lollipops for me. I would have even wished for a bit of lipstick-like powderiness. But, as is often the case in life, the same is not a wish concert. Rosa Pop is once again typically Allegoria: suitable for summer, refreshing, somewhat linear. (In my humble opinion, only the Ylang-Vanilla has elevated itself a bit, at times it was also my favorite)
The top note is already very fresh-floral, with a hint of spicy sharpness (pink pepper?). The sharpness gives way to more little flowers, which are indeed a bit sweeter, but still not in my preferred gourmand direction.
Overall, a nice, further unremarkable Allegoria.

The Name, the Color, and Its Effect
Ah yes, it’s really nice, such a squeaky pink bottle and the great advertising that goes with it. I’m not thinking of Princess Lilifee right now, but I do like a bit of kitsch now and then!
Now, one usually associates the colors of bottles or their contents with a scent idea.
Green - forest, meadow, summer for example
Blue - fresh, water, clear for example
Yellow - floral, sunny, warm for example
and so on.
If I now interpret Rosa Pop (oh dear, this name is really kitschy - laugh) based on its color, then this scent is as follows for me:
*
The berry red feels warm, fruity, powerful, and active. Also self-confident, determined, sensual, attractive, invigorating...
The berries are present like a fruit basket filled to the brim with currants, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. Delightfully fruity and tempting to bite into.
*
The dominant pink is romantic for me, softer than red, yet warm, loving, tender, gentle, graceful. I also interpret happiness and positive radiance with it.
Peonies are beautiful, lush, magnificent, and I simply love them. Peonies remind me of grandma's magnificent flower garden.
The scent of the "common" peony can vary depending on the time of day. In the morning, it smells pure and lovely, slightly rosy, while its oils change with the warmth of the day. A light citrusy, sweet scent unfolds, somewhat aromatic and pleasant.
*
So yes, Rosa Pop is a delicate, berry-scented summer fragrance. Not unpleasant or intrusive. Somehow like the name, just fun, fluffy, and light. It’s not a “Wow-how-awesome-does-this-smell” scent, but a go-to without much fuss :-)
Perfumer Thierry Wasser has also shown his flexibility here. He is scent-flexible and creative. Although predominantly known for the Shalimars of Guerlain, he has also “held out” his nose for Jil Sander, Lacoste, Lancome, Salvador Dali - just to name a few ;-).
*
You can’t go wrong with it, and you’re not a “princess” just because you have such a squeaky bottle in your cabinet *g*

Pop, Pop, Pop - Pop-Sofa!!!
I have never written a comment about a fragrance that I haven't worn on my skin for at least a day. Honestly. Today, I break this testing method - because "Rosa Pop" was worn by my girlfriend all day yesterday, and I "only" smelled it on her. But before you start shouting "Fraud, I always knew it, and F** Leimbacher," listen to me: 1) She found it in the Düsseldorf Duty Free area, wore it on the 10-hour flight to the Dominican Republic. I sat right next to her the whole time and smelled her hand at least hourly. 2) The scent is super simple and easy to grasp. 3) Additionally, I was able to smell it several times from the bottle and on the test strip.

So I hope you forgive me. That should suffice for such a fragrance. At first, I didn't want to believe my girlfriend when she answered my question about what that was on her arm with "Rosa Pop by Guerlain." Especially not after I had blindly recognized "Pamplelune" on her other arm. But it wasn't a joke, and she remembered the name correctly - it can happen that I don't have all new releases on my radar, even from Guerlain. I'll take the airport exclusivity as an excuse. By the way, she bought the "Pamplelune" - wise decision, I like wearing it too :)

"Rosa Pop" does exactly what its name and color suggest (more than) - young, modern, girlish, it achieves a beautiful, very rosy opening. This appeals to those under 20 - a group that usually rarely wanders to the Guerlain counter. Mission accomplished so far. A peppy mix of squeaky rose, youthful berries, and minimal pepper, later then vanilla/Guerlinade, does little wrong for its target audience. However, I find it all a bit too ordinary and too colorful, too normal and at times too overpowering. The fact that it has little Guerlain and a lot of mainstream for girls is something I can handle, but it doesn't help much for a good rating. A sugary rose - is that enough for you? Not for us.

Bottle: as always a treasure - this time radiant pink!
Sillage: not as radiant as the pink suggests - 1.5 meters.
Longevity: at least survived half of the flight - 4-5 hours.

Conclusion: it can stay in the Duty Free area - not a big deal from Guerlain and despite the striking color, one of the weaker Aqua Allegorias!

Misnomer. Peony pop! Velvety peony petals and tart red berries. Simple, pretty, fresh, delicate, watery. Soft sillage, average longevity.

The notes listing here is missing the two main players... ROSE and VIOLET.

Despite the funny name, you shouldn't underestimate it. It's a Guerlain (even if it's an AA)! Peonies with tart berries.

Unremarkable floral-fresh summer scent with rather weak sillage and longevity. There are better Aqua Allegorias out there.

Early summer. The berries still tart, the peonies in full bloom. A pleasant freshie with citrus sprinkles. On a powdery musk fluff.

Not a milestone in perfume history, but I just really like it. A very uncomplicated everyday scent.

Starts with sour red berries and ends on a powdery note. The peony stays in the background. Not a big hit, but I really like it.

Fruity, sweet rose. Sweet, fresh, and subtly green. Slight synthetic hint. Average Guerlain quality. But it's fun!
