For the Tender Moments in Between
Today is all about vacuuming and cleaning, one does not want to sink into dirt. And that in this sultry and warm air. Far, very far from the most beautiful day of life. Sweaty, with my hair hanging down and a tortured look like a dachshund when it can't find its bone, I take a short break with coffee in my mother's kitchen to write this comment.
Child, what happened to you? You look terrible, at least you smell nice. That's right, Mom, the scent for the most beautiful day of life. Although, who needs such a scent just for that one day which is supposed to be the most beautiful anyway, even without a fragrance.
Right now, I need this, right now. A scent like a tenderness in between, when the man is not there and even the cat seeks refuge from the heat, hiding somewhere cool and shady. When no one is there to convey a feeling of tenderness, this scent is a romantic companion that envelops you and hugs you with its tender aroma. With every little movement, it is there, just a whisper, but it is there.
A brief citrusy fine touch, only to immediately indulge with almond. For me, it is mainly the almond and the orange blossom that pamper my nose in a very pleasant way. Soft but noticeable. Sweet but not sticky. When the rose appears, it likely supports the whole without making a big appearance. Lovers of roses would probably be disappointed. Even the patchouli, which I usually struggle with, is more than decent here. The base is generally very well balanced for me, none of the fragrance notes dominates, and the longevity is quite decent for such a fine scent.
I had the choice between the perfume and the EdP, but I opted for the EdP. On the one hand, because it is stronger for me, and on the other hand, the citrus notes are a bit more intense, which makes the scent feel a bit fresher to me. Either way, both are excellently composed and beautiful.
Today is certainly not the most beautiful day of my life, but it definitely makes it much nicer. So now I grab that silly vacuum cleaner again and continue dancing through the rooms :).
