Sensuelle - the more sensual Mon Guerlain?
The first time I smelled Mon Guerlain, I was overwhelmed. And not necessarily in a positive way. This fragrance was sweet, strong, feminine, and a little too much of everything. Not for me.
After about a year, I smelled the fragrance again and was surprised. Was this the same scent as back then? I liked it all of a sudden. In fact, I now like it so well that I now also own various flankers. Therefore, I also had to get the Mon Guerlain Sensuelle, which is not so easy to get, because it is produced for the Brazilian market.
Now to the conclusion and the comparison with the original Mon Guerlain:
Both start with the usual lavender note. However, I would say that this is not quite as pronounced in the Sensuelle. Then comes the heart note. This I like the Sensuelle unfortunately not as good as the original. It somehow doesn't seem as rounded and has a slightly old, soapy aftertaste (maybe due to the rose?). Hm, disappointing...
But do not write off this fragrance too quickly! Because afterwards comes the base and it has it in itself. The Sensuelle becomes rounder and softer again. Softer even than the original. Because while the original at the end mainly vanilla and a touch of lavender with a slight woodiness remain, the Sensuelle is sensual, warm, caramel with a very subtle licorice note. This is probably due to the additional base notes, first and foremost benzoin, licorice and tonka bean not listed here.
So is Sensuelle really the more sensual Mon Guerlain?
In my opinion, yes.
Is it the better Mon Guerlain?
Not necessarily.
The Sensuelle has more base notes, which make the fragrance warmer and a little more complex, but also a little more generic.
The original has a pure sweetness all its own compared to the Sensuelle. You can perceive the individual notes, but they blend together beautifully and make the fragrance unique in my opinion.
So who is missing a little warmth and gourmand notes in the Mon Guerlain, I recommend the Sensuelle.

I wanted to love him, but someone had something against it
Long I have wrestled with me.
In the end, I ordered the fragrance but. It was not a direct blind purchase, because I had already tested the big sister some time ago.
Due to the positive(re)n reviews I decided...

Particular triviality or inconsequential particularity?
"Hmm... You smell good."
This compliment was given to me by a former colleague. And what a colleague she was. A unique blend of sweet, bright, interested, pretty and sexy. I was very pleased with the compliment...
