L'Homme Idéal Extrême Guerlain 2020

.... at least that's how I would describe this fragrance.
It adds an important ingredient to the original LhI EdP: the distinctive tobacco!
The L'Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum is unfortunately too monotonously sweet for me, I miss a counterbalance. The gentle almond on soft leather creates a seductive sweetness, cherry and delicious. But masculine? Not really...
It lacks an edge, a counterpart that complements the fragrance.

And that's where the extreme comes into play: the sweetness is still wonderful, this time with a plum theme, which I also really like (unfortunately, plum is generally seen far too rarely in perfumes :().
But above all, the full power of tobacco is also evident here! It underpins the sweetness of the plum with a sexy aromatic note, which forms the counterpart to the almost (!) exuberant sweetness of the plum.
This makes the Extreme more masculine, more complex and more interesting than its big brother.
The leather? Similar to the LhI EdP, it catches the sweetness olfactorily, embeds it softly and finely rounds off the fragrance.
