La Petite Robe Noire Guerlain 2012 Eau de Toilette

LPRN Eau de toilette is not "just" an Eau de toilette, meaning a less concentrated version of the innovative gourmand masterpiece La petite Robe Noire from the venerable house of Guerlain, but has its own reason for existence. Warned by the friendly owner of the owner-operated perfumery in downtown Düsseldorf... "Attention! This is a completely different scent than the Eau de Parfum!!"... it seemed to me at first that the EdT not only had a significantly fresher, almost summery-fruity opening but was also overall much lighter. However, that is not entirely true, as became clear after just a few minutes. It is true that overall the EdT is fruitier, less sweet, but the freshness kick does not last long. Nevertheless, the fragrance has some advantages over the EdP: it occasionally reminds one of the slightly bitter LPRN 2, which was unfortunately only available in limited quantities, is a beginner gourmand for those who find LPRN EdP too cherry-licorice, and is generally easier to digest - meaning it does not cross the line into being intrusive, as sugary gourmands often tend to do. And yet its longevity is enormous! Eau de toilettes these days are made so that you have to reapply them several times a day to keep the scent. Not LPRN EdT. It lasts and lasts, like the EdP, just as a fresher, less sweet variant. I will have to expand my LPRN collection with the Eau de toilette!
