Light and sweet vanilla-oud
Oud Nude is one I was not impressed with off of the strip when I sprayed it at the store, but I decided to get a decant anyway based on the high praise I heard it receiving and I'm definitely glad I did. I agree with the other reviewers' description of the synthetic-smelling opening which is probably why I didn't like it on the strip, but this does not last long. Very quickly the woody depth is apparent along with the almond-y accord present in L'Homme Idéal Eau de Parfum. Oud is only a modifier note here, rather than the main event. Oud Nude is a vanilla fragrance first and foremost, with the magical Guerlain vanilla note contained in other classics like "Cuir Béluga | Guerlain", Spiritueuse Double Vanille, and Bois d'Arménie. But the oud provides a nice medicinal, very subtly animalic facet to it, along with the almond accord imparting a gourmand character. All in all, a very beautiful light and sweet oud that is easy to enjoy regardless of gender.
