A warm, soft scent that caresses the nose with delicate fig and gentle resin melt.
Only a synthetic wood note is bothersome.

You definitely don't need it for the price being asked...

I noticed that right away and found it very off-putting. I was a bit surprised since it's rated so well here.

Thank you for your feedback. I felt the same way.

You hit the nail on the head. I also thought for a long time about why it somehow "annoyed" me, even though the composition itself was very good.

Yes! And I have to say, for whatever reason they're doing it this way, it's such a shame!

I could overlook the synthetic aspect 👍

I wouldn't have expected such a woody note in this price range and from this house. But the bottle looks great.

It's pretty, yes. I wouldn't have expected that and find it a bit disappointing. But I'm also very sensitive about it...

Interestingly, I actually get along quite well with synthetic scents. There are even some that I'm almost 'addicted' to. But the bottle here really puts me off. I guess I'm just a bit twisted that way🙄🤣🤯

You're not. The bottle really goes all out with its pearl necklace...😉

I'm also increasingly a fan of synthetic wood, but I can't focus on anything else but the bling bottle!! 👀

@Violett You're right, I have to like the scent itself; that's the first and foremost requirement. But I admit, the bottle has to appeal to me too for my collection. If it's a luxury hobby, it should please all the senses, including the visual and tactile aspects.

Well, hello there. When it comes to perfume, it's really about the inner qualities. 😉

Even Guerlain isn't immune to the synthetic wood and sharp notes anymore. I've noticed that too ☹️

That's really a shame. This stuff seems to offer a few essential qualities in perfume making. Or rather, it replaces some now-banned ingredients more poorly than well. In the end, it just feels cheap.

Me too. And I think, although it's pretty, it doesn't quite measure up to the classics.

...it could have been lovely. But the synthetic wood scent, which I unfortunately often notice too clearly in perfumes, ruins it for me. I'm torn between disappointment and relief (high price, and I think it's limited too).
