The heavy mahogany-colored door opens, and I catch sight of a hat, matte black, slightly cheekily tilted to the left.
The face accompanying it is enchanting, with such pure, clear, almost velvety beauty.
This softness.
Fine curls of her mahogany-colored hair can be discerned at her ears.
A very dark purple outlines her lips, which are accented by fine bronze tones on her warm cheeks.
A heavy fabric coat, reaching down to her black, slightly pointed patent leather boots, is adorned with gold and eggshell-colored patterns to perfection.*
Shalimar Millésime Tonka begins for me with a very dense, yet not overwhelming marzipan - tonka bean, where the path between edible and 'lotion-like' has been found, which later becomes body butter-like, lightly floral, and leads to a vanilla creamy warm, cozy finish.
Overall, the scent lasts 14 hours on my skin.
The sillage is designed to be very noticeably perceived at a full arm's length for 4.5 hours, before it gradually diminishes to the scent's conclusion.
"SaGa, I thank you very much for the generous fragrance sample!"
Beautifully described this wonderful scent. I really envy you for the longevity - on me, it becomes very close to the skin quickly and then disappears soon after. Still a masterpiece.
@Mantus No, my bottle is two years old and it has aged perfectly.
It's incredible how much better it has become. I think it has more to do with my skin; I've noticed this with almost all fragrances -- unfortunately.
I can totally understand that :-)
