I love Guerlain, it's definitely one of THE brands for me.
But what were they thinking with this one? All the scents in this overpriced line are very linear and nicely formulated. None of them convinced me, although Tonka Sarrapia is still one of the "highlights" for me. This traditional house shouldn't make the mistake of jumping on trends, as it leads to a loss of image. And it's clear: more expensive doesn't mean better in this case.
The extraits don't really matter to me. G is churning out new releases like it's a factory - not my Orient Express 😜, the commercial train can happily rush past me.
I hear you. And they are really overpowering. My sample box now smells so intensely of Vanilla 21 that I'm seriously considering leaving the 9 as is. I miss the Guerlain understatement. The world just loves Beastmode. And Guerlain is going along with it.
At TZ, it smelled really good, but on my skin, it becomes quite unpleasant. So for me. If you like this direction, it's great for you. It lasts like glue. I might not feel like wearing the scent now, but I do want to watch the movie 'Seven'.
It definitely has apocalyptic vibes, this stuff...

But not for the price...
