HM Hanae Mori 1998 Eau de Toilette

I wrote a positive review of the EdP from HM many months ago and rated it 10. Even today, I still like this fragrance very much. It is unique and has a distinctive DNA that clearly sets it apart from many others. It’s not a typical scent where you think you’ve smelled it somewhere before, of which there are so many on the market. Moreover, the brand is quite unknown, and this fragrance or brand can almost exclusively be found in online shops. Just a great hidden gem. Here at parfumo, the EdT & EdP are better known with some owners. By the way, the HiM is also really great. A cinnamon-woody-spicy scent that completes the concise men's fragrances of this brand. Specifically, this HM is also well-suited for women due to its many sweet notes and floral accents.

This EdT wasn't even on my radar, as I already owned the EdP. I’m not a big fan of these EdT, EdP, EdP Intense blah blah. A lot of it is a waste of money, at least if you already have one from this line. Of course, there are often small differences, but I don't get too excited about them. Especially with significantly higher prices, I pay attention to flankers to ensure the scent doesn’t lean too much towards the one I’ve already purchased.
In this case, you can't go wrong. 50ml for just over 20 euros. The 100ml was unfortunately sold out after Jeremy created a hype and suggested this fragrance in a video for scents around 20 euros. He mentioned that the EdP is too sticky-sweet for him and that the EdT is much fresher. In principle, he is right. This one has significantly increased the citrus notes and is therefore much fresher. I like both very much, although due to the added freshness, this one is a little better suited for men and could also score points in summer temperatures, similar to the Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne.
What I really like about this one is the beautiful sweet citrus. Gourmands with freshness are not common, and everything just fits together here. Balanced, pleasant, and simply not too much. Especially the opening with lemon-blackcurrant paired with sweet notes is very convincingly different, especially for men.
The EdP is more for nightlife, as it is extremely strong and sweet with impressive performance. The EdT loses a bit due to the added freshness, but still moves with very good performance. With more freshness, it can be used on several occasions.

I can unconditionally recommend both. Those who prefer a fresher scent should get this EdT.
