So, one thing upfront! Cuir Pleine Fleur is fundamentally a wonderful leather scent. Really beautiful! BUT!! You first have to get to this base.
After spraying, I find Cuir Pleine Fleur to be very, very overwhelming at first. A ton of herbs and medicinal plants come at me. Where do they even come from? They’re not listed in the top notes at all. I feel like you have to sniff through a complete herbarium and the corresponding tea storage rooms of a pharmacy before you can smell the soft leather on your skin, even if you can't really feel it. This leather scent is truly wonderful, though. It also lasts a long time.
If it weren't for this strange top note, Cuir Pleine Fleur would immediately land on my wish list. But this little potion is not on sale, and I don't think it's worth always putting up with this creaky opening. I don't think so.
