This happens when art collides with perfumery.
Saffron is quite soft in the opening. Comes across like it has oud in it (quite a bit like what is in many mainstream rose/oud perfumes). There is no oud listed in the notes. I’d explain it as a combination of Saffron, Lavender and Cedarwood with the Rose and Geranium giving it a little spicy kick. They seem to be the main notes during the initial phase of FanFan.
FanFan is very easy to like. Whilst appealing to all, I can definitely see it being a hit with the ladies.
Drydown is reminiscent of some of the Spirit of Dubai G1 perfumes. It is leathery, like new leather.
Comparison and mentions of other scents are simply to help describe, and not to define or limit FanFan to that style. As the perfume oil heats up on your skin you may find different notes are prominent.
To conclude, I would say I’m a big fan of Fanfan.
