*Relatively monothematic amber scent. Classically French with minimal floral undertones, but the focus is clearly on the resins and vanilla. It starts off lighter and fresher than usual, but quickly gets overwhelmed by a heavy sweetness of vanilla. A slightly earthy, damp patchouli adds to the drydown. Well done, but not quite my style of amber. I prefer it much drier, waxier, and less sweet. Typical Hermes quality is definitely there, no question about it.*
