Sparkling Freshness
This, I find, is a completely different kind of oud perfume that I have never experienced on my skin and in my nose before. "Mystic Oud" starts off very fresh, bright, with a mix of fruit and flowers that I find particularly fascinating and unique.
Anyone who has read more from me knows that I am a fruit abstainer. Only good jams, preserves, and fresh strawberries are the exceptions. I often find fruity scents quite unpleasant. But not always, as is the case with "Mystic Oud."
I was eager to test this fragrance, and now Angua has made that possible for me. What a treasure!
From the very beginning, I smell a bright oud, with just a hint of smoke. Oud underpins "Mystic Oud" throughout its entire development with a somewhat restrained ostinato, musically speaking. Right at the start, I also perceive the hesperides, and I would have sworn before looking at the pyramid that I smell lychee. But not only that. I also smell a sparkling mint scent.
Moreover, there are many "mystical" fragrance notes, flowers, and a pinch of spices. How "Mystic Oud" feels on my lips and mucous membranes, I sense this slightly cold burning, so galbanum is also present. However, that is all speculation on my part.
A good sandalwood softens everything a bit into creaminess. But not so much that the sparkling and effervescent character of the scent dries out into something powdery and matte, cuddling up as sediment on the skin. "Mystic Oud" remains cool and unobtrusive at all times.
Therefore, for me, "Mystic Oud" is a very complex and extraordinary fragrance composition that can be worn at higher temperatures due to its cool character.
Fortunately for me, oakmoss is not perceptible.
But now I prefer to stop listing long lists of scents that I supposedly perceive. I see "Mystic Oud" more than other fragrances as a kaleidoscope that conjures up different fragrance compositions for everyone.
Longevity and sillage are very good for me. I can very well imagine "Mystic Oud" with its freshness on men.
