“Time is the fire in which you all burn,” said the shadowy figure somewhere from the half-light between the gates. I was at a loss as to when and how I had even reached this enchanted place on the edge of darkness.
“How much time do you need?” the apparition whispered with a whispering echo into the infinity surrounding me. Overwhelmed by the events, I could hardly form a few words. This djinn or spirit or whatever was present placed a box made of the finest wood on the table in front of me. The bizarrely shaped, mossy-knotted legs of the table seemed connected to the figure. The root-like fingers, reminiscent of dark, creaky grasses, pulsed in the night’s darkness and slid the box across the silver metal plate of the little table, which was marked with deep grooves. Many tiny sparks sprayed into the silence of the surrounding darkness. The scent of glowing starbursts emerged, tracing sparkling fiery magic across the sky in slow motion and bathing the box, adorned with leathery fittings and dark, steaming wood ornaments, in lights akin to an Aurora Borealis.
My breath caught, the future revealed itself! What awaited in the box? Time...?

Time, what is it actually? We could all use time, most of us have too little of it, and no one knows how much time one is actually granted. In the end, time is something created by humans. Philosophically, time describes the progression of the present coming from the past and leading to the future.
Here, I find this incredibly well-composed fragrance comes into play. It allows me to forget time for a moment. The progression comes to a halt for a moment. This is again quite a stretch for a fragrance. But I hardly know another work capable of creating such a magical and mysterious aura outside of time. Pure Magic!
This brings me to another essential point for me. I know no other fragrance that reminds me of a djinn. Often, one has associations with other scents. Smells similar to fragrance XY, reminds me of fragrance XY! Here, I find no suitable comparison or twin. Pure Magic!
All of this is created by Marcus R. McCoy with just 4 ingredients. The aromas that initially remind one of starbursts are somewhat harsh, but gradually give way to the arrangement of dark woody, mossy, as well as leathery-earthy and slightly resinous components. And indeed, the mystique that Marcus surely breathes into the fragrances separately…
In conclusion, I thank the devilishly good Chizza once again. He organized this olfactory soul vow for me from the USA. Because unfortunately, one can hardly get hold of these works. Unless one has time…
Oh yes, suitable musical accompaniment would come from Pink Floyd - Time
It's wonderful to hear about the pure magic of this fragrance from you in such an impressive way! I really like both the opening story and your scent description, and I'm a fan of Pink Floyd too!
Reading your review was more than worth the time, as you described the scent so beautifully that I almost overlooked the oud. It probably won't be my fragrance, but the review has magic.
I don't know that one, but everything I've seen from the brand is great. Whispering Djinns. It's a shame you don't have more "time," you write so beautifully.
Great - "Time is the fire in which you all burn" - yes, that's a fantastic take on a fragrance that I unfortunately haven't experienced yet. Now I'm even more curious... But maybe I still have time.
A fantastic interpretation of a fragrance that is also very special to me, a little bit of magic. Great words from you. And beautiful thoughts. I enjoyed reading it very much.
I can definitely imagine that.
Magical review and great pictures.
