Pina Colada as a fragrance
Gulf Orchid has launched 7 new summer fragrances with the "Mocktail Collection".
With so many to choose from, it's not easy to decide which fragrance to buy because they all sound delicious. Nevertheless, I chose Tahiti Colada simply because I really like pineapple and coconut in fragrances.
Tahiti Colada starts with a subtle and not too intense rum note and pineapple. The pineapple is very sweet and juicy, minimally synthetic, but still very fruity and delicious. At the same time, I perceive coconut, which reminds me of creamy, fresh coconut milk.
After a short time, monoi joins in, giving the fragrance an additional sweet, exotic touch.
In the drydown, sandalwood makes "Tahiti Colada" slightly woody and gently spicy.
The pineapple is very present throughout the entire fragrance, while the coconut note is always discreetly in the background, but is also clearly perceptible.
Tahiti Colada also smells authentically like Pina Colada to me, even if I miss the velvety creamy note of cream a little.
The durability of about 6 hours is moderate, on clothes I perceive it a little longer.
Tahiti Colada is a very delicious, very sweet and fruity pineapple-coconut fragrance that I liked and will wear often in summer.
However, due to its sweetness, it would be a little too much for me in temperatures above 30°.
