Profit Greed Without Limits
Unfortunately, the classic Boss Bottled also seems to have fallen victim to profit greed. I really like the scent itself and wore it a lot during my teenage years about 10-15 years ago.
Back then, 2-3 sprays were enough to enjoy the beautiful scent DNA for several hours, and it was also positively perceived by others.
For nostalgic reasons, I had the scent brought back from vacation as a small souvenir about 3 years ago. Unfortunately, the bottle I brought back had such poor longevity and projection that I was convinced I had received a fake.
Since my girlfriend wanted to gift me a perfume for my birthday and also really likes the scent, I had her get me another bottle last year (purchased at D.). But even with this bottle, despite several sprays, the scent is only perceptible close to the skin after 1 hour.
Sadly, the scent must have been reformulated over the years to such an extent that it is no longer even suitable as a perfume for sports for 2-3 hours due to its miserable performance.
I always think that companies will see what they gain when sales figures decline in the long run. However, I fear I might be overestimating the awareness of the masses, as many are not as into the topic as we fragrance enthusiasts and still buy the scent or rediscover it.
For me, Boss Bottled is unfortunately just a shadow of its former self today and not worth the money anymore.

I unfortunately had the same experience with Creed. While my first batch had a brutal sillage and lasted over 24 hours, I could barely smell the last batch I bought after just 1 hour, even when I put my nose right up to it. For my part, I won’t buy their perfumes anymore, especially Aventus. Sadly, it seems so many people still do that it’s worth it for the companies, and they don’t change anything.

Unfortunately, it's not just Bottled but many others as well, and much more expensive ones (a good example is Creed Aventus for around 300 euros, and after 3 to 4 hours, I have to search for where I sprayed it, ridiculous, and yet there are people who still buy it). Sad but true?
