Strawberry fields forever...

Gandali sounds a bit like India, Maharani and the like to me, but the scent is anything but that.

From the very first try, I knew that I recognized the scent. Gandali reminded me a lot of an Yves Rocher fragrance, less sweet and a bit more aquatic - Ming Shu.

Like Ming Shu, Gandali is also very fine and light, yes, aquatic. The top note comes across as very fruity and very natural, with not the strawberries dominating, but rather the other fruits complementing beautifully. It’s more about the strawberry leaves than the strawberries themselves that give off the scent. From the start, Gandali is noticeably sweeter than Ming Shu.

The heart note is also a bit sweeter than Ming Shu, but quite pleasant. Here, the two are true scent twins. Delicate flowers - I associate the term "water lily" in both cases, enveloping in a subtle, fine floral scent cloud. I can't pinpoint individual flowers here, as the scent is woven too finely.

The base is not only identical in components for both fragrances, but Ming Shu is slightly woodier and Gandali a bit sweeter. While I would recommend Ming Shu for both genders, I perceive Gandali as a purely feminine scent, as it has this fine, very feminine sweetness that suits a man less well.

Conclusion: I'm glad I have both fragrances; Ming Shu is more of a pure summer scent for me, when it’s really warm. Gandali is wearable all year round, even now, in the cooler autumn. A beautiful, really pleasant and delicately fragrant mood lifter.

The bottle is really beautifully designed, and the packaging can almost be described as artistic. However, due to the shape of the bottle, it is quite large, and I was quite surprised that such a delicate bottle is in such a large package. It is very well protected inside.

Anyone who knows and likes Ming Shu will also like this scent here. Those who are not familiar with Ming Shu have a very pleasant candidate in Gandali when something gentler is desired. Gandali is very noticeable in the vicinity of the wearer and lasts about 4 - 5 hours. But that’s okay given the purchase price.

It smells quite fruity, especially at the start, dear Fiona, with passion fruit being the most prominent for me. I don't really think it smells like pomegranate, but it's nice nonetheless.
