Viscous fleurmand

Siam Flamboyant smells exactly like the bottle colour and the sum of its parts - a balsamic, creamy mixture heavy on vanilla and brightened by citrus with frangipani peeping in briefly at the opening. The combination of heavy sweetness and spice was more than I could handle, a sugary dryness with the texture of sand almost scratching in my throat. My brain also reacted with headaches after a few days of continued (careful) wearing.

There are a few fragrances with a similar combination of yellow/white florals, vanilla, and citric notes. However, the namesake benzoin seems to be the main characteristic of this perfume - recalling exotic sweet dishes such as spiced warm vanilla rice pudding covered in orange syrup and powdered sugar.
While the fragrance notes may suggest otherwise, this perfume developed better in heat, true to its theme with the association of sultry summer nights at faraway places.

It's not obivously sugar-vanilla gourmand, but sweet nonetheless without being too 'foody', therefore might be a flexible one. Could imagine you'd like it :)
