A wonderful, in my opinion underrated fragrance....
This fragrance embodies my absolute favorite season, summer, in a wonderfully light way...but it doesn't come across as classically citrus-fresh like many of the summer mainstream scents....it has a surprise in store...it comes breezing in quietly and cheerfully, bringing a lot of joy, temperament, and spirit, then it takes a seat, looks around, assesses the situation, and turns it up a notch! I don't know how cactus flower smells, but what jumps to my nose at the beginning of Viva Rock is heavenly, lightly cool-refreshing, with a minimal hint of mint, even though that doesn't fit the pyramid at all, extremely pleasant and also a touch cooling on the skin...shortly after, the mandarin spreads out bright and friendly with a lot of sunshine in tow...wonderful when it's really hot and sunny (the best kind of weather!) - but not only then, especially when it gets gray and nasty outside, referred to as autumn, Viva Rock will remind me of the glorious summer of 2015, which is why I already love this fragrance! Unfortunately, I can only vaguely sense the starfruit; I wouldn't know how to classify its scent olfactorily, it could be that it makes the mandarin a bit softer, cozier. When Viva Rock now launches into the fantastic heart note play, one can wonderfully indulge in a beautiful rose mixed with a hint of jasmine; I'm actually not a jasmine fan, but here it stays discreetly in the background and above all, it seems to be the blend that matters. At this point, the fragrance has something very present, self-assured, not for little girls who still need to find their style, but a good choice for girls who stand firmly in life, are creative, and know what they want or don't want and convey that as well...the fragrance is a statement, here I am and no one can pull a fast one on me ;-) by the way, Viva Rock in the heart note slightly reminds me of White Linen...that cool-gentle, somewhat herb-strict freshness that is incredibly sensual....that's how Viva Rock is too, sensual, fresh-sparkling, and confidently fine! In the base, there is a wonderful conclusion of an amber-musk blend, the iris I can only barely sniff out, to be honest, which doesn't bother me. The only downside is that the longevity is not outstanding, it is also rather close to the body, which bothers me less. But since I love it, I gladly reapply several times a day....a little summer boost, so to speak, what could be better...endless summer as often as you want!
