Dipped in Chocolate Imaginary Authors 2024

Beginning smells exactly like Hershey's chocolate syrup: dark chocolate, syrupy sweet and gooey. Cardamom adds depth that Hershey's would never be able to add to their artificial syrup. I know the notes are linear, but I smell a clear progression. As the chocolate syrup gets eaten up by my skin, I start smelling a creamy, almost cold, vanilla ice cream. I can picture the scoop of white vanilla ice cream with specks of vanilla pods (think Breyers Creamery Style Natural Vanilla Ice Cream). It's so realistic, so mouthwatering! After gobbling up the vanilla ice cream, I start smelling A Whiff of Wafflecone. Freshly baked, crispy, golden waffle cones straight from the stovetop. A hint of spicy cinnamon, sweet waffle batter and a hint of salted caramel. No synthetic aspect, no overbearing sweetness, no weird smoky facet. Just realistic waffle cones. Delicious, warm, comforting and a tasty treat for the senses! The drydown becomes warm vanilla with a hint of sandalwood. Beautiful.

Dipped in Chocolate has what I wanted in A Whiff of Waffle Cone (2023) and more. I hesitated a long time in getting a full bottle of Waffle Cone before deciding to let it go for various reasons mentioned in that review. Maybe it was my subconscious telling me something better was coming in the form of this one. Thoroughly gourmand, mouthwatering and special. Will be getting a bottle for those days where I wanna smell thoroughly comfy and gourmand. A very well-played artistic/realistic scent. Definitely not a blind-buy though, I'm glad I got a decant before!
