Well.....
I keep getting tempted to order a fragrance from YR again. This time was no different. Recently, I’ve been struggling with YR. The company seems to weaken more and more each year. Either there are nice, simple scents that fade faster than you can say their name, or heavy, opulent powerhouses that leave a scent trail behind you. I miss the times of Eglantine, Ming Shui, and Rose Ispahan. The latter is one of the most beautiful fragrances ever for me.
But now, let’s talk about Maracuja. The extremely simple and straightforward bottle holds more than it looks. Visually, it resembles a cleaning product from Spinnrad. The content is not bad, but quite simple. One shouldn’t expect too much. It feels more like a body spray due to its lightness. It starts immediately with maracuja and a splash of lemon. But not the dish soap lemon that YR fragrances usually have; it’s softer and more harmonious. It works well. Then it continues with ginger, and this herbal-fruity thing goes on and on, and after 2 hours, it’s just a hint and then gone. A scent for the peak summer, when the air stands still from the heat. But it’s also usable otherwise, if you don’t care about recognition and just want to smell well-groomed.
I have it, and it’s much better than the special edition from last year. Let’s see how it performs in the summer, but I won’t repurchase it, as there are better fragrances for me.
