sweet-spicy amber-vanilla combination
I have been meaning to write my first comment on Sensuale for quite some time, but this is proving to be more difficult than I thought. The scent doesn't seem very complex, but the combination of fragrance notes is quite unusual to my nose.
Sensuale starts sweet-floral-powdery. Lotus is mentioned as the top note, and you can sense it. The base note gets more interesting: myrtle and orchids join in. I find this combination very exciting, sweet and spicy at the same time. The myrtle especially makes its presence known. I have read that myrtle is reminiscent of eucalyptus and pine needles, but I perceive the scent as more peppery and smoky.
The base consists of amber and vanilla, rounding off the fragrance. They do not overshadow each other but go hand in hand. So, this is not just a vanilla scent!
The bottle is well-crafted and I personally quite like it, and it might also convey that this fragrance is aphrodisiac, which I can certainly emphasize.
The sillage is moderate, the scent stays close to the skin, intimate is the motto here as well. Perhaps this contributes to its erotic effect.
The longevity is perfectly fine for the price-performance ratio. Even though the scent weakens after a few hours, a sweet-powdery note remains.
