My Dream Jasmine
Have I mentioned it yet? I’m getting married! The future Mr. Mandiana and I are busy planning, sometimes more, sometimes less, the location and date are already set, and I believe I’ve found the perfect scent for the bride too? I thought the dress would come first and then the fragrance, but dear Hasi threw a wrench in that plan with her sample package. La Route d` Emeraude wasn’t necessarily one of the scents I was overly curious about, but from the very first test, I was completely enchanted, I’m in love!
There I was on a gray Saturday afternoon sitting on the couch, various scents on my wrists, sniffing here and there, thinking “wow, this one is definitely too green for me,” somewhat bored with other things, when suddenly I completely forgot about the two test candidates on my arm and then there it was, this dream scent. Radiant jasmine in abundance! So beautifully dreamy, full, and opulent. And at the same time the realization: with you, I want to say yes!
In the meantime, I’ve tested it several times and I’m still completely thrilled. Of course, I’ve purposefully picked one of the most expensive scents, but well, I still have a few months to save up. (or if our planning gets even more expensive, to share?)
La Route D‘ Emeraude starts off almost zesty, deep green, with a generous burst of bitter citrus bergamot, as if you’ve just freshly grated the outer green peel.
A dream of an intense, naturally elegant aroma. I can’t detect any rose oil, unless the oil was derived from the green leaves of the rose instead of the bloom, it could smell like this.
In the heart note, jasmine dominates, no tuberose, no orange blossom, just full, lush, radiant jasmine. Not a bit artificial, not as loud as in Alien, no, it feels like lying in a sea of flowers.
Towards the end, it becomes soft and embracing, amber and vanilla underline the floral splendor and give the scent a gentle sweetness, warm, sensual, and profoundly feminine.
The musk envelops the base with a hint of powder… This gives the fragrance, in the very best sense, something old-fashioned, melancholic… my dream in ivory!
