Oh, La Route d’Emeraude, the Emerald Route. That sounds exciting, thrilling, mysterious… well, a bit like something out of a fantasy novel or video game :D It could be one of those fantasy (multiplayer) video games where you play a hero fighting evil in various imaginative locations while seeking fame and fortune. Along the way, you encounter other players, at least half of whom are male players playing female characters, which is usually perfectly fine; I also enjoy playing with a female character. The thing is, quite a few of these gentlemen let their female characters run around in underwear… and the better the technology and thus the game graphics become, the more often you see such figures wandering around in lingerie in online worlds :DD
And even funnier is that they try to convince other male players that they are actually girls to get in-game currency or other coveted items from them :D
On the other hand… well, you have to admit that the female characters in games often look really hot (aaah, when I think of some of the elves…!) and… no no no, I haven’t sunk that low yet despite my eternal single status to let a character run around (or dance) in her underwear, even if it’s virtual (although,… as I said, they do look quite hot :DD). But after all, you want to show off what great outfits and armor you have, right? Basically, it’s all about finding the best or next better equipment!
Ah, I could really ramble on here, but as I said, the name of the fragrance made me think of fantasy games for a “brief” moment. Now, let’s get to the scent; maybe it smells somewhat fantastical or mysterious!
The Scent:
Somehow, I have trouble picking out the notes listed in the top notes. I hardly smell bergamot, no roses, and barely any cinnamon. Instead, the scent starts directly with jasmine, which is quite sweet but also, as usual, beautifully fragrant. The second note that can be smelled very intensely is neroli, which, while also pleasant, makes the scent a bit more mature and heavier. Additionally, I smell heavy and slightly sultry floral scents that remind me of ylang-ylang. However, this impression doesn’t last long and soon weakens.
A little later, the scent becomes even sweeter with the tuberoses, and I can already smell the first hints of vanilla. With the benzoin, the fragrance becomes powdery-soft, with the vanilla always contributing to a powdery impression.
In the base, the scent remains heavily floral-sweet; a little later, the heavy floral notes become a bit more prominent again, reminding me of ylang-ylang-like flowers (I urgently need another flower example; I can’t keep playing the ylang card… if only I knew more about flowers!!! :DD). The vanilla now seems a bit better, as does the benzoin, making the scent appear even softer. Additionally, you can now also smell a bit of amber, while I could discern less musk.
The Sillage and Longevity:
As is common with fragrances featuring heavier neroli and jasmine notes, this scent is also quite strong and can be perceived well, as it leaves a larger scent cloud behind.
Thus, the longevity is very long, and it will surely be noticeable from morning until late evening.
The Bottle:
The (new) bottle is rectangular and seems to have a golden shimmer. On the sides, you can see interlocking orange plant patterns. The upper part of the bottle rises slightly in a pyramid shape. The cap is bronze-colored and consists of an octagonal column with a plate on top, around which a silky ribbon has been wrapped. A beautiful bottle.
I find this scent quite successful, but for me personally, it smells a tad too heavy and mature. It’s not fresh, although it could still be worn in spring. However, I find the scent more suitable for autumn. And now in summer, it feels completely out of place for me!
As for the mysterious aspect… well, of course, it’s always difficult with something like this… I mean, how should something mysterious even smell? However, the scent, with its many floral-sweet notes, does smell a little exotic and thus at least evokes a sense of distance, so you can find the name Emerald Route quite fitting.
I think you ladies might really enjoy this scent, so I recommend giving it a try.
Hmm… online games… to be honest, they never really interested me, so I haven’t dealt with them much. But I still find it amusing to think about many guys traveling through dangerous places with lightly clad female characters. Of course, while the male heroes fight against dangerous, monstrous enemies in heavy and imposing armor, female characters (led by male players) do so in tattered mini-leather skirts and the skimpiest tops as their only “armor,”… so you can see as many sexy poses as possible in the various animations, aaah! I must admit that female elves and such look quite cute… okay, and in some poses (hey, some can really dance!),… very sexy….!!! :DD
*sigh*
A toast to modern and almost photorealistic game graphics that delight us singles visually :DD
*sigh sigh sigh*
:DD
PS: In the online game The Elder Scrolls, you can also play a character from a cat race, woohoo :DDD
